Bill Nye at Brick City

Last Saturday, students, parents, faculty, and alumni alike packed the Gordon Field House to witness an hour long presentation from an eccentric man in a bow tie. The mood outside was gloomy for all those shut out of the sold-out show, but inside the atmosphere was tense with Bill Nye-related anticipation.

After listening to three short introductory speeches (including those by President Bill Destler and Student Government President Ed Wolf), Nye took the stage as this years Horton...

There are two types of people at RIT: Those who have fun playing a video game with plastic instruments and those who wonder why the first type is toying around with those silly, plastic instruments. Being a member of the first group Ive always wanted to share a story that could justify the pile of fake guitars in my living room. Sadly, I dont have one, but RIT Students Andrew Prelusky (New Media Information Technology, Class of 2008), Brandon Chez (Computer Science, Class of...

Skating the Night Away

No money, check. Skates, check. Funky
disco music, check. Friends, check.
That was all you needed for CAB's
second Annual Ice Disco Skate on
Friday, March 28th.

When you think of disco music, you think of a
combination of Saturday Night Fever, the 70s, and
roller skates. Since it's a bit difficult to set up a
roller rink on campus, however, CAB came up
with the idea to bring "funky town" to the Frank
Ritter Ice Arena instead.

Lots of students came out for the disco skate.

Student Government (SG) refined their "bug list" of issues that they
would focus on improving. The major ones include making 100 of
both academic and residential sides of campus accessible to a wireless
network; creating more scholarships and making the scholarships
known to students; having a central location online for all RIT events
so that students may be aware of everything on campus; and having art
supplies sold on campus again.

The Bhai Association is a type a support system for people of that religion. The Bhai club restarted after a period of inactivity. GREEN was formed by and mainly targeted towards NTID students, but received an endorsement from SEAL (Student Environmental Action League) as a way to get the green word around.

Fresh from Hollywood and back in Rochester,
Alyssa Coco was featured as the entertainment for
CABs Friday Night in the RITz on September 12.
The Rochester native started playing piano at the
age of five and has been pursuing music ever since.
The singer and songwriter made it to Hollywood
on Season 7 of American Idol with a thumbs up
from Simon Cowell.

While a lot of students were at social gatherings

I see them when they're seniors.

An indie band that is signed on to Side One
Dummy Records, ZOX has traveled all over the
world and has had over ten songs featured on
MTV's Real World, Road Rules, and Maui Fever.
Featuring Eli Miller on vocals and guitar,
Dan Edinberg on bass, Spencer Swain on violin,

they got their band name) on drums, ZOX got
